My Last Name

I was born March 3, 1982 as Christopher Paul Gratny in Canton, Ohio.  My last name, as given, Gratny.  A fairly American sounding name.  While growing up, I heard rumors of a different last name. Something like D’Gratigny.  As a child, I was fascinated with this original name, and always wondered how it was spelled.

Sphinx – on Mac. Try #1

Sleep on it

You’ve heard it said before when making a decision.  The words, “I’ll sleep on it.”.  While I sometimes feel like it is an excuse, this has been something I’ve personally used more and more.  You have to remove yourself from the situation sometimes, and sleeping on it does just that.

Be excited for others

If you have ever told me anything exciting, you may have not received the best response. I probably questioned what you said, wasn’t excited for you. I would assume I listened to what you said, then thought of a reason that it’s not exciting. I suck at this… but I’m improving.

Starting May of this year, I’m been phasing out taking my laptop to meetings.  When I am at a meeting with no laptop, I’m able to pay full attention without having any distraction.  Even though I may be able to use the laptop when I’m in a meeting, it will rarely add to the effectiveness
