Over-Used

There have been a few “ground floor” opportunities that I’ve experienced in my life, and there seems to be a window of opportunity that you have to act in order to be able to “cash in”. At the same time, there are things that get over-used and get old. I think that, if we aren’t careful, some of our favorite things in life may end up being too overused. This is purely theory, and random guesses – I don’t have data to back this up!

I’ve noticed the use of FaceBook, between groups, fan pages, and the general use of FaceBook being as huge as it is. I’ve also noticed that Twitter is becoming more popular. It is very likely that these websites will end up having so much traffic that they will, in a way, become over-used and not so special. When everyone starts to use FaceBook in order to promote their cause, and Twitter to start tweeting – it becomes so used that creating a fan page/tweeting becomes less special.

It seems that, as everybody starts to do the same thing, it isn’t as special anymore. Really, how much time will it end up taking for people to actually look at all of the pages on the internet?

Maybe special isn’t the right word that I’m looking for, but I do have to say that as humans, we have only so much time, and as more information is available, we will still have the same amount of time and there’s a good possibility that methods of communication, such as Facebook, will get so busy that the “supply” of information will be more than the “demand” for that information.
