When Receiving a Discount
Get in the back of line. Let the paying customers go first. Expect less. You're paying less, you'll get less. People love getting deals, coupons, getting things on sale. The clearance rack always has a deal, or refurbished, open box, you name it. It can make your blood rush with excitement just thinking about the deals to be had.

Vacation Auto-Responder
After having some of my team go out of town, I've learned the true value of an email auto-responder. I'd hope that everyone who has a job, and receives email, will receive email that is somewhat important. Among other things, the emails received while you are away may be asking you to perform a task, attend a meeting, or make a decision.
