Prove It

Have you completed a task, on time, and then been doubted? You didn't communicate the completion of the task in a way that the person who asked you to complete the task would have expected. You are asked to complete a task, you finish it and move on. Then, your boss comes to you and asks why you didn't do it. You're defensive. I did it a few hours ago!

Looks good, Thanks!

Thanks." says Bob. He takes a quick look at it and says, "Good work, this is just what I asked for." He looks at it a little more and says, "I have some updates I'd like you to make to this, I received new information thought of these updates since I last talked to you.  They are _______. Can you work on these new things and get it back to me tomorrow by 10AM?

Tasks vs Responsibilities

I didn't know there was such a big difference between taking on a responsibility vs. a task.  There's a difference?  Yes, there sure is.  Here's what happens... your boss asks you to perform a task.  You say, "sure" and perform that task.  After performing that task you move on and work on other tasks that you have been given, knowing the task that you were given was completed.  Right?  You're feeling great.
