You've gone on vacation before...  It's a two week vacation, and you're trying to work everything possible into that time.  You're leaving Friday after work, then getting into town Sunday at 8PM after your vacation in order to get to work the next morning.  You're excited about this trip, it's going to be great!  Friday at 5PM gets there, and you'll all ready to go.  You pack up and you're off.   Your action planned vacation has begun!

After having some of my team go out of town, I've learned the true value of an email auto-responder.  I'd hope that everyone who has a job, and receives email, will receive email that is somewhat important.  Among other things, the emails received while you are away may be asking you to perform a task, attend a meeting, or make a decision.
